Subject To inform regarding the permission for selling the ordinary shares of Thanachart Bank Public Company

(1) The letter no. TCAP. MDO. 108/2550, subject to the resolution of the annual general meeting of shareholders for the year 2007

As the Thanachart Capital Public Company Limited "The Company" has reported to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the year 2007, held on April 30, 2007 regard to the selling of partial ordinary shares Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited "the Bank", which hold by the Company. In this regard, it shall be fully effective when the permission has been given by the Bank of Thailand. The details of this matter thoroughly appears in the reference which already reported for your acknowledgement on April 30, 2007.

The Company would appreciate to inform you as regards to a letter from the Bank of Thailand no. BOT (21) 1256/2550, Subject to the selling of ordinary shares of Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited to the Bank of Nova Scotia Asia Limited, on July 11,2007, that arrived to the Company from the Bank on July 12,2007. In this regard, the purpose is to enable the Company to sell ordinary shares of the Bank total to shares 157,130,126 to the Bank of Nova Scotia Asia Limited.

Thus, the Company estimates such matter shall be sell within July 2007. We then continuously inform you for any further progress.
