Thanachart Group, in collaboration with Ratchthani Leasing Public Company Limited (THANI), organized the "Restoring Nature's Balance" activity at the Royal Thai Army Nature Education Center in honor of Her Majesty the Queen's 72nd Birthday (Bangpu) on 23 May 2026. The objective of this initiative was to restore coastal ecosystems, re-establish natural balance, and boost sustainable conservation of natural resources. The event saw a strong turnout and enthusiastic participation from executives and volunteer employees.
During the event, participants joined together to plant 1,000 mangrove trees, which are expected to sequester approximately 9,500 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent per year (or approximately 9.5 metric tons of CO2 equivalent per year). Furthermore, a waste collection and sorting activity was carried out around the surrounding area, gathering a total of 44.12 kilograms of waste. This initiative represents part of the broader commitment by the Group and THANI to mitigate marine pollution, conserve and restore landscapes, protect aquatic resources, and foster long-term environmental awareness.

Mangrove forests are crucial natural resources for the ecosystem, serving as marine nurseries, acting as natural barriers against coastal erosion, and functioning as highly efficient natural carbon sinks. Therefore, this mangrove reforestation initiative not only goes beyond merely expanding green spaces, but also fosters a positive, long-term, and sustainable environmental impact.

This activity reflects the commitment of Thanachart Group and THANI to operate their businesses in alignment with ESG guidelines. By prioritizing environmental stewardship alongside creating shared value for society and communities through active employee engagement, all the Group companies continue to move forward in supporting initiatives that benefit society, the environment, and communities, driving long-term sustainable development.
