In 2018, TBANK participated in the Red Cross

In 2018, TBANK participated in the Red Cross Fair held at Lumpini Park from 23 November to 1 December 2018. The decoration of its booth was based on the concept of “Engine to Success” which represented the Bank’s policy of not only delivering good products and services to customers but also giving back to society through CSR activities. At the fair, TBANK held a workshop for its customers who participated in activities organized at the Bank’s booth. Used plastic straws were recycled by using them for decorating cloth bags. The recycling of the used plastic straws was part of TBANK’s campaign against climate change. In addition, the Bank received donations of plastic straws which would be forwarded to a youth group called “Sandal Gang” in Lopburi Province. The youth group used the straws as raw materials for producing pillows for paralyzed or bed-ridden patients. Moreover, TBANK would humbly present the net proceeds worth 6,300,000 baht from its sale of Red Cross lottery tickets and its participation in the Red Cross Fair in 2018, to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society for supporting the Society’s activities.

TBANK’s executives gave money support from its sale of Red Cross lottery tickets to Thai Red Cross Society

TBANK’s executives gave money support worth 6,300,000 baht from the sales of Red Cross lottery tickets for the year 2017 to the Thai Red Cross Society for humbly presenting to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice-President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society. In this regards, M.R. Priyangsri Wattanakun, Assistant Secretary General in Fund Raising, representing the Thai Red Cross Society received the money support.

In 2017, the Red Cross Fair organizer announced cancellation of the Annual Red Cross Fair for 2017 to pay a final tribute and farewell to Phrabat Somdet Phra Poraminthara Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej who was the Patron of the Thai Red Cross Society. However, TBANK continued issuing and selling Red Cross lottery tickets. The proceeds of the sale worth 6,300,000 baht were humbly presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Siridhorn, Executive Vice President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society, for supporting the Society.

Annual Red Cross Fair 2016

TBANK participated in the sale of Red Cross lottery tickets every year with the Thai Red Cross Society. The proceeds from the sale of lottery tickets were presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for Supporting the Thai Red Cross Society. In 2016, TBANK participated in the Red Cross Fair from 31 March 2016 to 7 April 2016 at Suan Amporn Park. TBANK’s booth was decorated under the concept of “Let’s Play Let’s Learn” with a “Playground” theme by imitating kids playground as it is the world of knowledge for Children.

After the closure of the fair, TBANK gave various equipment used for decorating the booth to schools that lacked resources. The objective was to support children’s learning and development. The equipment included, among others, playground slide, large-sized ball swimming pool, swing, and teeter board. The schools receiving the equipment were Wat Rue Chai School and Wat Map Pho School in Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya Province. As well, TBANK would humbly present the net proceeds worth 6,300,000 baht from its sale of Red Cross lottery tickets for the year 2016 and from its participation in the fair to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice-President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society, for charity at the discretion of Her Royal Highness as partial financial support to the Council.

 

Annual Red Cross Fair 2015

Thanachart Bank participated in the sale of Red Cross lottery tickets as well as the Red Cross Fair which was held annually. The participation in the annual fair could be traced back to the year 1976 when Bangkok Metropolitan Bank was the only commercial bank which was invited to join the Red Cross Fair, at which the bank used the name of "Bangkok Metropolitan Bank's Red Cross Booth". Later in 2002 when Bangkok Metropolitan Bank merged with Siam City Bank, Siam City Bank participated in the fair, using the name of "Siam City Bank's Red Cross Booth". In 2011 when Siam City Bank merged with TBANK, the name at the fair was changed to "TBANK's Red Cross Booth". Today, it is still the only commercial bank with a booth at the Annual Red Cross Fair in Suan Amporn Park. The net proceeds from the sale were humbly presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society for charity at the discretion of Her Royal Highness as partial financial support in an annual manner to the Council. TBANK was one of the top five institutes which presented the highest proceeds of 6,000,000 baht in 2015

Although the organizers of the annual Red Cross Fair, Thai Red Cross Society, announced cancellation of the fair in 2014 due to political unrest, TBANK continued to issue and sell Red Cross lottery tickets. The net proceeds worth 6,000,000 baht from the sale were humbly presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Council of the Thai Red Cross Society, for charity at the discretion of Her Royal Highness as partial financial support in a continuous manner to the Council.
