Financial information classified by operating segments The Company and its subsidiaries’ operations involve 6 principal segments: (1) Company; (2) Securities business; (3) Life insurance business; (4) Non-life insurance business; (5) Asset management business; and (6) Hire purchase and leasing business. The chief operating decision maker reviews the operating results of each segment separately in order to make decisions on the allocation of resources to each operating segment and to assess performance. The Company and its subsidiaries measure segment performance based on net income generated by each segment.
